Liposuction, also referred to as Lipo, is a body-shaping surgical procedure that enables people to permanently remove excess fat deposits from specific areas of their bodies.
The choice of the Lipo type depends on the surgeon, who recommends which one would be best for the patient.
So let’s check out the two most common techniques!
There is more than one type of liposuction. We are going to highlight the most common ones.
Ultrasonic Technique
It is the use of ultrasonic waves to dissolve fat in the targeted areas of the body before it is removed. The next step is to remove that liquid with a cannula or a thin type of medical vacuum.
The ultrasonic technique can be either internal (waves inside the body) or external (waves outside the body).

Tumescent Technique
This traditional technique (wet and super-wet) requires injecting the patient with a saline solution (a mixture of sodium chloride and water) to hydrate the fat cells, so they can be easily extracted from the body.
To reduce blood loss and minimize complications during surgery, the saline solution is injected along with adrenalin and anaesthesia.
Overall, the liposuction techniques mentioned above have life-changing results and reshape the body to become more harmonious.
